Submitting a sitemap to the search engines is one way of increasing the website crawl rate i.e. the search engines will find your content much faster. For example, if your blog is hosted on blogger, you do not have to create a sitemap, you simply just access it.
To access my sitemap, this is where I go:
http://makemoneylearn.blogspot.com/atom.xml
http://makemoneylearn.blogspot.com/rss.xml
Logging into Bing and Google webmasters should not be a problem if you have an account. Just search for webmasters and the address should appear on the first page of the results. You will be required to verify ownership of the blog. To submit yours, replace the xxxxxxxxxxx with your website name.
